Family-Focused Home in Park West

Located in the Park West neighborhood of Chicago's Lincoln Park, this full-home interior design project was inspired by the people who live there and the ways they come together. Bridget Galvin Design reimagined the lower level, first floor, second floor, and garden terrace, creating spaces that support both lively family gatherings and quiet moments of retreat. The result is a warm, sophisticated contemporary home designed for everyday living, entertaining, and the beautifully messy rhythm of family life.

Drawing inspiration from the colors and textures of the Mediterranean, the interiors layer rich velvets, deep blues, touches of gold and silver, and natural stone details to create an atmosphere that feels elegant yet inviting. Greek and Mediterranean influences appear throughout the home, balanced by custom furnishings and millwork that make every room feel tailored to the family. A bespoke sideboard anchors the dining room for large holiday meals, while a generous sectional and custom built-in shelving system in the family room create the perfect setting for movie nights and everyday connection.

Thoughtful organization was a priority throughout the project, especially in the bedrooms of the home's three college-age children. Custom desks, smart storage solutions, and beautifully integrated cabinetry help each space work harder without sacrificing style. Finished with custom draperies throughout and designed down to the smallest detail, this Lincoln Park family home reflects Bridget Galvin Design's belief that the most beautiful interiors are the ones that bring people together.
